Discover Belfast's Maritime Mile by night as we bring to you an evening of lights and illumination as part of the Belfast Maritime Weekender. From 8pm-11pm both Saturday and Sunday, various attractions along the maritime mile will light up and illuminate the Belfast skies.
From 8pm each evening you can enjoy a leisurely stroll along our iconic waterfront.
From City Quays, you can see the spires of St Joseph’s Church, and riverside illuminations in and around the AC Marriott Hotel as well as the Millennium Beacon on Donegall Quay. Across the Lagan Weir footbridge, you can enjoy illuminated street art and a flotilla of vessels lit up along Queens quayside and into Abercorn Marina. Check out the Maritime Mile’s latest addition ‘Soundyard’, a playful art installation inspired by the sounds of Belfast’s shipyards.
The famous Belfast Buoys, Titanic kit and not to forget ‘Ollie the Octapus’ will be illuminated in the Arc Public Realm, complimented by other illuminated attractions including SS Nomadic, the Titanic Hotel, Titanic Belfast, the Slipways, Riverbox, H&W cranes and the Great Light.
The lighting levels along the quayside, from City Quays to Titanic Quarter are appropriate for patrons accessing and for viewing the illuminations. These areas are also monitored by stewards.
