Man of Aran is a 1934 silent movie by Robert J. Flaherty, portraying life on Ireland’s Aran Islands. The film powerfully depicts islanders battling sea, cliffs and hardship. Its striking black-and-white imagery made it internationally influential.
The movie will be accompanied by traditional music running throughout the week of the Fleadh across Sailortown.
