Get your day at the Maritime Festival off to a great start  joining Hometown Tours on this fascinating and entertaining walk along the Maritime Mile and the Titanic Slipways. Starting at the Albert Clock we will learn how Belfast got its name. We will explore the regeneration of the River Lagan from a working river to the Maritime Mile we have today with a visit to the Big Fish and Lagan Weir. We will learn about the Queen’s Quay Railway Station where Native Coffee now stands.  We then visit the Harland and Wolff Ship yard, The SS Nomadic and Titanic Belfast. We will walk the Slipways were the Titanic and Olympic class ships where built – at the time the most luxurious and biggest ships in the world.  The tour ends at the Titanic Hotel at 12.30 where you can enjoy the rest of your day at the Maritime Festival.
