One of our favourite things about the Maritime Mile is how, one way or another, everyone has a link to Belfast’s iconic waterfront. His 5th and latest album release ‘Time Well Spent’ was RTÉ Radio 1’s ‘Album of the Week’ at the beginning of 2022 and features a wealth of incredible musicians like legendary fiddle player Eliza Carthy MBE and award wining folk singer Aoife Scott.
Rory Nellis is a singer-songwriter and guitarist based in Belfast, Northern Ireland and a frequent ‘Sundays on the Maritime Mile’ artist. Producing a mix of folk-pop and indie-rock stemming from musings on life, death, relationships and politics he is a surefire hit for fans of Wilco, Villagers and Duke Special. With his third album, Written and Underlined, he underscores his status as easily one of the country’s most versatile and visionary musical voices.
AVA Belfast has evolved into what is undoubtedly one of the most important festival events in Northern Ireland’s ever-expanding cultural calendar.
