Family Fun – 4 Hour Itinerary

There are so many great things to see and discover along Belfast’s waterfront for families with kids of all ages to enjoy. From the Maritime Mile Blueway Trail, a trip to W5, HMS Caroline to a cycling trip along the Maritime Mile.

This itinerary includes an action packed session at W5, lunch at Odyssey Place followed by some jumping about SoundYard & exploring the Slipways.

4 hours of fun

Hours 1 & 2 : W5 – inspire curious minds
Hour 3: time for something tasty – whether a light bite or main meal Odyssey Place have lots of fabulous restaurants serving delicious food & drink all day long.
Hour 4: jump into SoundYard, a playful art installation inspired by the sounds of the shipyard. Then venture to the slipways to go that Extra mile.

Hours One & Two

W5 has 8 new exhibition zones, with over 250 interactive exhibits for the whole family. Firing the spirit of discovery, with limitless fun for everyone.

Hour Three

Whether it’s a light bite or a main meal, Odyssey Place has some fabulous eateries and restaurants serving delicious food and drink throughout the day. Let them do the cooking, whilst you do the eating!

Hour Four

Now that those energy levels are back up, head around to SoundYard, a playful art installation inspired by the sounds of Belfast’s shipyards. Jump in to see if you can set off the hammering and clanging sounds of the shipyard.

Last stop before home – head along the Hamilton Dock and from Titanic Belfast you can explore the historic slipways where Titanic and Olympic were built and launched over 100 years ago. Discover the positions of the liner’s lifeboats and funnels and have a seat at one of the benches positioned exactly as they would have been on board the deck of Titanic!
